The Covid vaccines requires a more compressive approach similar to that of the traditional vaccines that Engaes both the innate & the adaptive immune system for effective long term protection agains all varaients! The spike protein is a very smal part of the virus structure & its highly susceptible to mutations for known reasons! 

Where we are now, ABET potential dual functionality, could set it completely apart from other approaches & prove it highly valuable for immediate use as it's a phase 3 simple molecule and safe to use! Just my opinion!
