Message: Momentum Players and Agoracom.com’s Rules

A number of years ago our original hub leader Kelsey would post the rules of the Agoracom message boards about every 6 months or so. Along with the rules Kelsey would have a welcome message to all new posters who had joined our conversation over the previous six months. I kinda sorta took over that portion of Kelsey's previous efforts but have dropped the ball.

Having said that, Welcome to all new posters that have joined the Resverlogix discussion on this board over the last 18 months or so. If you haven't already, please review the rules of the board that Agoracom uses as guidelines for posters on their platform. Those rules will be posted at the bottom of this message and it is hopped that everyone will re-familiarize themselves with the rules.

Understanding who uses message boards or bullboards is a game unto itself. Some use them to gain information or insight into the company or its business and or people. Others use the boards to sound off for a wrong that they believe they have experienced. While others use these platforms to manipulate others thoughts for their own purposes. There are likely more very real reasons for people to post their thoughts on message boards that I have mist and I apologize for missing that right now.

What I do want to review is why someone may want to attack one of this boards most prominent posters. Please keep in mined that this is my opinion. When you look at the history of a posters posts you can get a general pattern. Some will post regularly and some only from time to time. You get cheerleaders like me that look at the potential of this product without getting dug into all of the details of the path forward or behind and you get Debbie Downers that can't for the life of them see anything but the bad side of a decision they made to purchase shares of a company years before that hasn't panned out. Along with both of those you get the momentum players that are following every stock that has the potential to move up or down rapidly. There are long term investors, long investors , short term investors and short investors. The stock market serves many masters. To make matters even more fun one investor may be employing more than one of those previous strategies, just in different accounts.

Sometimes it's easy to see who fits into which category and other times not so much. If you are reading someone's post and definitely disagree with their point of view, take a look at there posting history. If you find a pattern of posts but only at specific times look closer at the time of their posts while looking at a 3 year or a 5 year chart. Maybe you can see that the rash of posts was just before or just after a significant move upwards or downwards in the share price. This happens more often than you think.

Last week someone posted the short numbers for RVX and we saw that between Canada and the US market there was about 1 million shares short. This week we saw the share price go up about 45% from the week earlier. This week we also saw one of the posters attack one of our most prominent contributors to this board. I don't know if there is any relationship at all to any of this but it makes a person go hmmm.

My suggestion, when these situations come up, and they will from time to time, don't take the bait. Don't reply to that poster. Let it go. As long as this type of poster stays within the Agoracom rules there is nothing that the hub leaders can do. If on the other hand that type of poster steps over the line and posts outside of those rules then action can be taken.

If APB has a profound effect for COVID patients in this most recent trial we will get every type of investor looking at and following this board and others for every type of reason. Most will not care if you have been here a day or 25 years. Some will be pros that use or attempt to use this board to sway your emotions one way or another. This is happening all the time on many different platforms. Understand that this happens and get over your own emotions, it's part of the game.

The best thing you can do is understand the rules by which we play with here on Agoracom.com. Not only does this keep ourselves on the straight and narrow but it allows us to recognize when others have blatantly stepped over the line so that their posts can be flagged and dealt with at that time.

I have posted the Agoracom rules below for your review. Good luck to us all on positive outcomes for this current COVID trial.

SIX RULES OF USE
Participation on the AGORACOM website, which includes, but is not limited to, blogs, discussion forums, stock hubs, "private messaging" system, and any other electronic medium used for communication with others on AGORACOM, is a privilege and not a right. As such, all the aforementioned communication features are governed by the AGORACOM Six Rules of Use. Though we have used a lighter side in getting our point across, contravention of any of the following, on any of the aforementioned mediums, will lead to automatic termination of your AGORACOM membership:

To ensure your continued participation on AGORACOM, please follow these 6 simple rules.

1. PROFANITY - Swearing or use of foul language is strictly prohibited… in any language (We have 42 interpreters on staff to keep an eye on those International members). For the record, ##$!#&% or any combination thereof is considered profanity.

2. DEROGATORY COMMENTS TOWARDS OTHERS - Calling another member an idiot, clown, stupid, dumb, moron or ##x%x# for brains is strictly prohibited.

3. OFF-TOPIC OR IRRELEVANT COMMENTS - Yep, nobody can believe what Donald Trump said today, or that Monica Lewinsky is more believable than Hillary, or the Dallas Cowboys keep crushing their fans (seriously though, it %*$#@ hurts). However, the main forums are not the place to discuss TV shows, politics or sports... O.K. maybe a little sports. Please use the Off-Topic Forums.

4. SPAMMING OR CLAIMS OF INSIDER INFORMATION - Enough said… unless your brother in-law really is Jeff Bezo’s chauffeur.

5. BASHING OR HYPING - Unsubstantiated claims of grandeur or impending doom are best left to Nostradamus as they will cost you some valuable points towards your rating. Also included in this category is repetition of the same question, fact or opinion over and over after a response has been provided or if there is currently no ascertainable answer.

6. Caps lock and use of !!!!!!! - NOTHING AND WE MEAN NOTHING IS MORE AGGRAVATING AND ANNOYING THAN READING A POST THAT LOOKS LIKE THIS!!!!!! IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY, IT DOESN’T BECOME ANYMORE NOTICEABLE WHEN YOU TYPE IT IN CAPS!!!!! IN FACT, MOST PEOPLE TEND TO IGNORE THESE KINDS OF POSTS!!!!... Exceptions will be made for those deserted on a deserted island (with a kick ass internet connection) and sending out a distress signal, or anyone who invested in WorldCom, Enron, Tyco, Nortel, Webvan, Pets.com or Sideware and needs to freak out every year.

We trust the gist of our point has been made. Be good to your fellow members, respect their opinions and understand there will be different levels of expertise posting on these boards. Otherwise, kiss our privacy statement goodbye as we hand out your address and phone number to everyone you piss off… Just Kidding ;-)

Sincerely,

The AGORACOM Team
