IIRC, the short interest was climbing pretty quickly in the recent months.  Share price just popped 16% on the day.

It would not take much to inflict some major pain, given the scaricity of available shares.  Some of those shorts were in the 45 cent range...

Good news + short covers + limited shares = fast climbs.
