Reading a little between the lines of the NR I'm guessing (and I typically guess wrong) that the pace of enrolment for eligible candidates, so far, is slow.  The UofA is after all only one site. Opening up new sites and expanding the protocol should be helpful, which is what they hope will be the case. After some 4 weeks they may have some data, but that is highly speculative.  The good news is that there doesn't currently seem to be any reason to stop the trial but rather continue to expand it to reach the 100 patient goal.
