Who ever it was probably heard all of donny's favorites, "imminent" "very soon" "near future" Don would tell the investor everything the investor would want to hear.From what i've heard thru the grapevine wouldn't be the first time an investor found out later that dons words/forward looking statements meant very little.

What I find most disturbing is Don selling out at this level given all the bs he's spewed.

It's disturbing because he must feel that this $ is all it's worth or why would he even do the deal?

 It's just plain disturbing & comes off as being quite desperate IMO.
