I lose it when someone lies to my face, so I naturally don't ask questions of those I disbelieve. 

Could I ask him a question that would embarrass him, humiliate him, put him on the spot, offend him or infruriate him?  Sure, all of the above.  But what's the point.  He doesn't come across to me as someone who can be shamed into stepping down. 

A new vibrant, convincing and competent CEO is what's needed for this company to survive.
