Even if Don knew about this NIH initiative, unfortunately RVX does not have the team to prepare a successful application. There would be no chance they'd be funded by the NIH, who are very careful. The only mechanism would be for RVX to team up with an strong academic group that has the necessary expertise, faculty, facilities and NIH grant-writing experience. I'm sure they could find one that would be interested, but the NIH would likely expect RVX to contribute to the cost, and I doubt they have the cash to do that. So the only hope for a covid trial and BOM2 is for an acquisition by BP. Don should have got that message by now.
