As far as merging the two companies, there are many arguments against. For example, Sanjay Lakhotia is the key person in the success of moving Zenith into all those trials with BP. He is based in San Francisco and has strong ties there as a UC Berkeley graduate. I doubt he would want to relocate to Calgary.
