VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 15, 2009) - Riverstone Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RVS)(FRANKFURT:3RV) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ron Cooper to its board of directors.

Mr. Cooper graduated from the University of Memphis in 1980 with a B.Sc. in finance. He worked for a Vancouver brokerage firm for 3.5 years as a compliance officer and for the past 28 years has been a marketing consultant to private and public companies. Over that time, he has arranged financing and provided marketing services to over 80 companies, several of which have become major corporations. Mr. Cooper has been providing Riverstone with marketing services for the past two years and will continue to do so. The appointment as Director is subject to regulatory approval.
