It is highly likely that Xstrata is the party of interest as the closure of the Montcalm mine west of Timmins has them in need of a possible replacement course of action. While the Langmuir model is still far from an economic scenerio at this point, it is the only play that is in close proximity to other Shaw Dome projects which are well past thier potential size levels for expansion over that which GCR holds.
Still lots of speculative explorative drilling needs to be performed so if Xstrata is the party and does option the property, they will get it very, very cheap. Other companies in the thick of the Shaw Dome trend still further to the north, wont be of interst for the major as they will all be too expensive for the asset bases already deliniated. For GCR, this situation will only really serve to get the property off of their books for them so that they can recover in the current market and focus on what will be more manageable project sizes.
Just an opinion at this point.
