Yesterday and today's price drop is just an opportunity for the steady investor to pick up a few more SGR shares for the long haul. There are so many speculative avenues for the hot money guys, such as commodity ETF's and ETN's.

With so many good and bad choices, a lot of the speculators hop from one venue to another on a daily basis. Perhaps some of them hopped out of SGR over the last couple of days.

Developing an underground gold mine to steady production is an arduous task in the best of times. With currency fluctuation and inflation rampant now, it is even more challenging. Both management and the committed shareowners need to have patience and perseverance.

One structural problem for Rice Lake and any developing property is the dearth of experienced, skilled and dedicated contract miners. Very few young guys in today's society want to pursue mining as a career, and even many that attempt it are not up to producing ore safely, cleanly and efficiently - in that order of priority.

As the old bosses at my alma mater Climax Moly would say to some of the new hands - "You may make a miner, but you'll never be one!" The miner shortage means that SGR must work deliberately and efficiently with the good hands that are available, and the share owners need to remain optimistic and patient.
