My speculation is that Goodman's funds have been promoting the heck out of their funds and need to buy this stock at the best price to get the highest returns. It is in their best interest to buy all they can at a low price and then promote a take over at a greatly enhanced price. Their funds benefit because of the huge profits. They are not in the business of owning companies, but do know value and have the money to purchase a large enough position to force the company to sell when they are ready. we all benefit if we hold. They will make it painful if you don't have the ability to hold until they are ready, and that is only for the profit you left on the table.
