PJ...thanks for your post.
Ask 10 people their opinion of the value and you will likely get 10 different answers. I will give you my opinion as well, qualifying it by saying that I tend towards conservatism and hope reality exceeds expactations.
I have been in this stock since it was .36 back in 2005. I have been at the mine twice and have some business dealings with the company. IMO this is a very solid company and investment. They continue to find more and more gold, they are able to explore, develop and produce. They are located in one of the most favourable jurisdictions. They have seasoned and highly qualified management and personnel. SGR has everything going for it.
IMO, this stock should be trading higher than it is. It was hard to believe that the SP could hover between $1.25 and $1.55 month after month over the past year while the reserves and resources continued to expand. Now we are finally seeing the SP move up closer to where it reflects the value of the company, but IMO we are still low -- we could easily be near $3.00 considering what we have.
And now, in view of all the rich new finds, I am figuring the SP could end up over $5 quite readily. However, the reality is that it will probably not happen overnight. SGR is not producing at the capacity of the mill as yet (but we could be in the next 6 months or so as there is a lot of ore broken and ready to process). We have not had a lot of gold sales as yet. It will take some real numbers in quarterly financial statements to "prove" to the investment community what is really here. I estimate that it will be another 6 to 12 months before this happens.
Meanwhile, the story of the stock is that the SP is very volatile. It is up considerably now in the past month. It could stay at these levels, it could jump over $2, or it could slide back to the $1.60 range leaving us all scratching our heads. If it does, don't be surprised or worried. The value is here -- it just may take some time for it to be fully appreciated by the larger investment community. This is a buy and hold, IMO.
Like I said, I tend towards being a bit conservative, maybe "hedging my bet" some. I hope SP climbs and stays well above $2. If it does, I will cheer. On the other hand, if it doesn't, my expectations won't be shattered.... I can wait a little longer. SGR will be fully worth the wait.
