San Gold is rapidly transitioning from developer into steady-state gold producer and is on track to producing 50,000 ounces of gold this year (please see press release dated April 4, 2007). San Gold’s two operating mines are rapidly increasing their ratio of higher grade production ore from initial lower grade development material and are now contributing 800 tons per day. San Gold’s mill has reached steady state and optimum operating levels with no further lock up of gold anticipated, a process that has taken approximately six months longer than initially anticipated. The company employs over 200 people in its mining and milling operations and operates a very aggressive exploration program with four surface diamond drills and two underground drills currently operating

San Gold Celebrates First Gold Pour - August 25, 2006
Mr. Dale Ginn, President of San Gold Corporation (TSX-V: SGR) (www.sangoldcorp.com), is pleased to announce that the company has celebrated the grand opening of its Rice Lake Gold Mine and the pouring of its first gold bars in Bissett, Manitoba on August 23, 2006. The ceremony was well attended by approximately 500 employees and their families, local community leaders, representatives of the Manitoba government and several hundred shareholders. Site tours including the San Gold #1 Mine were conducted as well as a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Rice Lake Mine headframe which was opened by a local aboriginal drum and vocal group. The highlight of the ceremony was the live pouring of two gold dore bars that were made available for viewing with a Royal Canadian Mounted Police escort.
The initial shipment of these bars, together with previously poured bars is a significant event for San Gold since it represents the final step to a self-sustaining gold mining operation. San Gold is now Canada's newest and Manitoba's only gold miner.
