Can't resist chimming in on the race horse analogy.

Mine that Bird -- whose triple crown efforts this year consisted of 1st in the Kentucky Derby -- Thanks to Calvin (BO)rail -- 2nd in the Preakness and 3rd at the Belmont.

A lot of San Gold similarities... originally purchased for $9,500... four wins to become Canada's two year old of the year.... then sold for $450,000 -- (a take over!!!) -- they ran him in the Breeders cup and he finished 12th.... sometimes horses just finishes up the track. On to an ungraded handicap race in New Mexico... kinda like a find without 43101 verification!!!

Then they trucked him to Kentucky--- driven by a trainer with a broken leg... sometimes staff do labor under handicaps... and the rest is history.

The horse is a gelding, so no continuing breed line... still geldings like this can have a fairly long racing career and this horse has certainly shown he can run with the best.

Conclusion.... racing will continue and results will be posted after each event. Regular workout also are well timed. Price of the horse certainly will vary as results are posted.

As a side note... the price of Strikepoint -- the newly named colt in our barn creeps slowly up, but is hugely dependent on early training efforts!!
