What clown wrote this? Assays are conducted by independent labs. Cores are split in half, and in case an assay comes up with extrodinary numbers, the second half is assayed to confirm the result. Pretty hard to salt cores when that is the case, though I'm sure experienced geologists could have a pretty good go of it.
