FWIW: I hope everyone finds this useful. You may want to bookmark it :
Intierra Resource Intelligence - Website: http://intierramapping.com/
This company website has free (for now) web accessible maps for what appears to be virtually every active mining district in the world (in great detail) , including those of Canada such as Rice Lake, Red Lake, McFaulds Lake, Timmins, Val D'Or, etc.
Tips for using-
1) Upon arriving at the first website page (linked above), use the menu on the left side of your screen, and click on "Current Maps"-North America. A second page should then pop up on your screen displaying all the North American Mining maps available
2) Scroll down the list of names until you find the map you're interested in, and then left click directly over the map displayed. (If you're looking for Rice Lake it's at the very bottom of this page )
3) Once you reach the map you want to look at ( in this case Rice Lake), use the ZOOMED VERSION Feature displayed over the top portion of the map to blow it up in much greater detail. Also, the maps have an additional feature displayed over the top right corner which is called a "rollover thumbnail" This is an embedded icon which when used, will allow you to move around the enlarged map to specific areas, and the map will follow you around like a puppy as you move the icon. I thought this was great!
Try it, and I think you'll like it!
I hope this will work for everyone who wants to use it. All I can say is that it worked well on my P.C. ,but it might require a bit of time playing with the map features just to get use to them. Good luck& Have Fun!
