San Gold Corporation - one of Canada's most exciting new exploration companies and gold producers.
Hi Quantum
You are right this is a very good board with a lot of knowledgable souls. I have been on this board for only about three months, yet I feel confident enough to answer your question based on what I have learned here. San Gold last produced a 43-101 way back in the pre cambrian era, long before we had dinosaurs. Since then they have added the cartwright which is similar in stucture to the existing San Antonio mine. Some lower grade mines along the main gabro and recently and the high grade hinge that has totally changed the ball game. We can speculate what the last four years of drilling will reveal, however I think your feeling that a big number is keeping us from heading south is exactly what I think. The high grade is only about 300 ft. below surface and seems to continue to depth all the way to the bottom of the main mine about 5600 feet down. Imagine how much ore would fill a hole one mile deep. Not only that it might connect to the cohiba. Some of those lenses are possibly over half a kilometre in length. Better still we haven't closed the veins at depth and if you look at the history of Red Lake the biggest deposits seem to be about 7000 feet down. We could possibly have one of those. If we get lucky and find "one of those" that could add 7million ounces in a hurry.
Unfortunatly the gold is called stealth gold for a reason and the only way to prove the number is to drill and find it. Much patience is required if you are true believer like many of us. Not too many investors are willing to bet on gold that hasn't been found yet so our price probably reflects the last 43-101 plus about another 600,000 ounces that everybody is pretty sure about over at the hinge. Long time posters to these board are very confident that numbers are much higher, however without the 43-101 we will have to speculate. Just consider that Goldcorp paid $650. per ounce all in for GEA and with our low cost production of $185 at the hinge that would give us a minimum of $450 per ounce. Every 500,000 ounces should be worth at least $1.00 additional per share. Also remember ore found today can be sold tomorrow. What is that worth?
