San Gold Corporation - one of Canada's most exciting new exploration companies and gold producers.
They drill two holes, assay aprox 100M of one hole and everyone starts speculating on producing high grade the next day. We will be lucky to see this ore hit the mill one year from now, this is not a fish boat Rookie it can't be mined in a week, slow down! You need to visit an underground mine. Learn the timelines. 3-5 years to produce after a resource is identified is a short time line. The average is 8 for underground. It takes a year to build a 1200 TPD mill. We have been developing stopes underground in the San Antonio for 4 years and only now are producing enough quantity to run the mill at 1/3 capacity. The grades in the San Antonio are just reaching an average around .20 ozs per ton now. Huge amounts of development ore need to be processed in the run up to full production. On a good day a miner and helper gets 2-10 foot rounds, that is if he doesn't spend half of it waiting for the next crew of visitors to get out of his way. Figure out the tonnage.
