San Gold Corporation - one of Canada's most exciting new exploration companies and gold producers.
"Let your plans be dark and impenetrable, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt!"
Translates to, "If you are aware of the situation (The CEO should be!) and can make your decisions quickly, you can now afford to take as much time as you need to project wharever image will be most profitable!" (No doubt the reason for the continually delayed 43-101!)
Dale contiues to reiterate that SAN is, "not for sale!" (a quote from his interview from Bangalore.) Would a better answer not be, "At the right price, everything is for sale! No doubt, there has been a lot of interest from a broad spectrum of companies!!" (Goldcorp et al haven't just stopped by for coffee! I'm sure they have other things in mind!)
Maybe Hugh's cooks just make a great French fry!
Projecting the image that SAN is being actively pursued without providiung additional detail, IMHO, adds interest and value through perception!
The market proves time and again that value is improved through perception, seldom facts! (Seems the market hasn't twigged to 52 ozs a tonne or, IMhO, we'd be N of FC's $8!" Or does it sound too much like a Walsh/Felderhoff exagggeration?)
Maybe management should take an evening to read Sun-Tzu's often quoted "bible," The Book of Army Management, published about the time they (the Chinese) discovered paper!
Sun's own classic,The Art of War, has served as an inspitation to Kings, Generals, warriors, sportsmen, and CEOs, in ancient and modern times, all hoping to find an edge in a competitive enviroment.
Tactics from both are surprisingly applicable to the market.
Regarding Dale's interview from Bangalore another Sun-Tzu axziom may apply. Sun say's, "Knowing the place and time of the coming battle, we may concentrate from the greatest distances in order to fight!" (If there is a town in Manitoba named Bangalore this axiom will not apply! I know there is a town there named Miami!)
More later, maybe.
