I guess my explanation wasn't the best as I am not a geologist (merely a thinker) The old model had pretty well assumed that the gabbro was the main source for gold and if you look at the pdf's on the corporate presentation you will see almost all of the discoveries prior to the hinge were along the gabbro. The new model has stepped out into the volcanics and the reference I made about the gabbro was that it appears that the gabbro as a contact points seems to direct the fluids along it's length. Any time you have two dissimilar types of rock in contact, the expansion rates allow for fracturing and that allows gold to find a home. I will stop pretending to be a geo and hopfully somebody more knowledgable will add to the discussion.
