I must admit reading these releases is like a game of hide and seek.
The “98” vein area is located at the southeastern extremities of current Rice Lake mine development above the 28
th level (4500 ft). The past two years have been spent improving access and infrastructure to this area in preparation for mining and exploration. This area of the mine is anticipated to account for 30% of San Gold’s production for 2010 and has already contributed to an improvement in Rice Lake’s contribution of 0.30 oz/ton to a record production grade in December. The main “98” vein above the 28 th level has been developed to over 500 feet in length and is open above where drilling from the 26 th level (4200 ft) is searching for extensions. Mining is now underway in numerous stopes within this vein above the 29 th and 28th levels.
They tend to bury the exciting stuff in the boring information and I myself tend to skip over that stuff at first reading.
Now the question in my mind is what was the record number and why keep it a secret. If you know it is a record why not just come out and say what the number is.
These guys can drive you crazy sometimes but then again why take all the fun out of it. Gotta love them.
I still say they deserve a pat on the back ( that does not mean the don't deserve a boot in the you know where for not completing other projects)
But I would rather wait for a 5 million or better 43-101 than a mediocre 3 million.
