I think that most economists and western politicians fail to realize is China has nothing to lose. China is still a communist country run by political cronies who do not have voters to answer too. If the Chinese government decides they have an axe to grind with the US then I hardly think they give a damn about the economic consequences from the west. Their people will still grow rice to eat and the top dogs in the government will still live in luxury. JMHO
