Of the many mistakes I made in youth I somehow avoided being a runner at the Running of the Bulls. I instead photographed the run from the bancony of the Ernest Hemingway stadium in Pamplona and that was scary enough.

These bulls are not like the ones I knew in the country. They are faster, meaner, have truly dangerous horns and hate people. When they get into the stadium they finally are presented with a steer (I think) and they become placid and follow it to everone's safety. It remains one of the most remarkable events I have ever seen aand I am grateful to say, for some unknown reason, maturity prevailed on my part. I still hhave the slides and all my body parts.

For those who might think this off topic, think about SGR becoming part of that stampede.
