I wish I was "fishing", however i work in processing. We got smoked with sockeye. Used up all of our cans, all the freezers in the lower mainland are stuffed and there are still several million fish too many going up the river. Monday the sixth was the day of the gillnet closure and the river was boiling with sockeye as far as you could see. Try to imagine a seine fishery within eyesite of Vancouver at the mouth of the Fraser that produced sets of over 20,000 fish for a total of 10 million pounds in less than a week. It is going to take a bit of re-energizing, however I am hoping to catch up quickly, as I have a big bet on the Greens. Thanks for the thumbs up.
