San Gold Corporation - one of Canada's most exciting new exploration companies and gold producers.
Yes, SGR will recover. The only question is will we just “recover” and go on to be a marginal or sub-marginal player over the next 50 years, or will we “explode” with every blast raining down gold dust so thick we will burn ourselves into the annals of Canadian history along side the most famous gold mining names of yesteryear.
We will recover because the enormous reserves and resources, proven, probable, indicated and inferred, plus the blue sky potential, at average grades of 9+ gpt will ensure a profitable, cash cow operation with the POG at or above $1,000.00 per ounce for at least 50 to 75 years.
The only question in my mind is; do we have the Management and trades people on-the-ground-in-the-mine with the necessary expertise and skill sets to run a smooth, maximum production operation every shift, every day.
It is one thing to talk about production targets at the AGM’s, at the Gold Shows and in the coffee shops and do lots of back-of-the-envelope projections, but it's a whole different ball game to actually get 1500 tons of ore to the mill every day, 24/7/365.
Underground gold mining is a very tough, expensive, frustrating business. Murphy’s Law is always at work (whatever can go wrong will go wrong).
Is the current crew, equipment and infrastructure up to the task ? And if not, can we get it fixed ? Should we hire more people ? Different people ?
Can we convince the Manitoba Minister of Mines and the Manitoba Director of Prisons to house and feed 500 or 600, eighteen to twenty-five year old first or second offenders, in Bissett, and let us train them to become miners @ 1.49 per hour, so when they finish their sentences, they will be well on their way to having a trade with which they can prosper the rest of their lives and take their places as solid citizens, part of the mesh and fibre of the great Canadian Dream.
Bob Moriarty stated in to-days Gold Report:
“The one thing I've learned over the last nine ears is that quality of management is, by far, the most important factor. I have seen $1 billion projects destroyed by people who, basically, are idiots.”
Thank God we don’t have any idiots on the SGR management team. Because if we play our cards right, our current $1 billion project is destined to become a $100 billion project.
The Rice Lake Greenbelt is awash in gold. We will eventually find it all, mill it all, refine it all and sell it all. But our first step, surely, is to get the 1500 tons of ore to the mill every day; 24/7/365 and record our first quarter of profit.
That will be they day when BAY street stops saying "oh oh" and starts saying "WOW".
