I only worked at one company that was unionized and i hated it. I like being a hard worker, and when i would finish my work i would see if anyone else needed a hand. I was lending a hand to another co-worker and my boss told me bassically to go back to my area and do nothing as that was not my job.
I find unions only few unions have there place.
One example is for protecting workers like nurses and other jobs that have really strick rules and policies.
But for just general labour jobs and what not, unions are only for the lazy employees. (ok so maybe thats a little harsh and overboard and i might get my head bit off for that comment).
I also get a little frustrated when i think about people in the auto industries that get over 100K a year to put on a handle on a car door. And we wonder why vehicles are so bloody expensive. In the end this is just one man's opinion.
