San Gold Corporation - one of Canada's most exciting new exploration companies and gold producers.
Glad to hear you've been in since the early days. Before myself included.
But on that note, did you not think it was over sold when it was at $4-$5.
As i always said i was happy with slow and steady growth.
from 0.90 5 years ago to 2.60 today, thats 2.8 times my initial investment over 5 years.
That's a 19% return a year. My goal is to beat 15%, I'm laughing.
I still think this stock will get up to 4-5 by within 8-12 months.
Past performance a side, all what matters is the fundamentals. I believe SGR will be CF+ for 2011. If they are CF+ then they are making money and price will go up. If the company is run properly then the stock price will catch up. In the past they had one guy (Dale) trying to do everything. He is not a CEO but a geologist. No fault to him but you can't expect him to be an expert in everything. They seem to have that figured out now. Lets see how they do the next 3 Quarters. I expect Q2 to be marginally CF+ maybe 18 000 oz.
The problem with SGR isn't the SGR but the share holders themselves, (ok so this isn't 100% accurate as SGR never hit a target before 2011, but anyway) People are setting themselves up for disappointment. There are people on here talking about 25 000 oz for Q2. Well get back to reality that is not gonna happen. Maybe and a big MAYBE we hit 20 000 oz. but expect 18 000 with CF+ (just over break even). IF this happens we are heading the right direction.
Then Q3 we can expect 20 000 with a bit more cash. and Q4 b/w 22 000 - 25 000 and CF + for 2011. This we need to happen and I believe it will.
Even i knew in 2008 when they promised 80 000 oz for 2009 it would never happen. It was naive for Management to promise that but it was also naive for educated investors to believe them. I'm sorry but if people believed that, they clearly did not get educated enough on the SGR and the mine history, mining in general and all other aspects related. If a person truly did their own due diligence they would have known 80 000 oz would never happen then just as they would have known 5 bucks last 2 years wasn't possible and that a correction would happen back to the 2.50-3.50 range. And so once again an educated investor would know SGR is now capable of doing 80 000 oz for 2011 and being CF+ and reaching 4.00$ price. (hoping all is exceeded and getting closer to 5.00). But expect 4.00 in year. If you are happy with 2.50 to 4.00 (60%) ROI, then i say go for it and invest in SGR as I did.
