I can't see how a company the size of LSG could be interested in any takeover of SGR. The Timmins rumour could make sense to me if LSG and SGR formed some sort of strategic alliance or ammalgamation in order to beef up their mass to fend of a hostile attacker. I would imagine a company like LSG would also be on the list of takeover candidates and perhaps the two of them together would be big enough to buy more time. It would certainly reduce Ned's ownership to less than 15% of the new company. I have nothing other than Traps rumour here, however I loves guessing or trying to think outside of the box.

The other thing that could be in play is an interest in SGR'S Timmins properties.
