Let's be realistic. The mine facility was already there. A pack of monkeys could have produced gold when the first official pour was made. All they had to do was vacuum up the moth balls and turn the lights on.
San Gold's Rice Lake property is a hybrid. They had an existing mine and a considerable new discovery. The mine plan had to be flexible and considering the non SAM discoveries are less than 2 years old and the exploration budget for 2011 was one of the largest exploration budgets in North America, I would say we're definitely in the exploration/development stage on one hand and an emerging producer on the other. I think the new 43101 coming out right around the same time realistic numbers can be put on production is when this turns around.
If the new 43101 is crap and prodution numbers are crap, I'm gone. I'm betting they won't be.
