JAIME CARRASCO HOUSTON ACQUIRES ADDITIONAL SHARES IN SANDSTORM METALS & ENERGY LTD.

Jaime Carrasco Houston has acquired an additional 1,219,200 common shares of Sandstorm Metals & Energy Ltd., effective as of Jan. 24, 2014. The acquired shares were acquired by means of a private acquisition at an aggregate price of $1,483,345.75.

Immediately following the acquisition, Mr. Carrasco directly owns or exercises direction or control over an aggregate of 3,518,600 common shares of the issuer, representing approximately 10.15 per cent of the total outstanding common shares.

The acquired shares were acquired for investment purposes. Mr. Carrasco has a long-term view of the investment and does not intend at this time to acquire additional common shares, but may acquire additional common shares either on the open market or through private acquisitions or sell the acquired shares either on the open market or through private dispositions in the future depending on market conditions, reformulation of plans and/or other relevant factors.
