SANDSTORM GOLD ANNOUNCES CLOSING OF SANDSTORM METALS & ENERGY ACQUISITION

Sandstorm Gold Ltd. has closed the previously announced plan of arrangement pursuant to which the company has acquired 100 per cent of the outstanding common shares of Sandstorm Metals & Energy Ltd. Shareholders of Sandstorm Metals voted in favour of the resolution approving the arrangement at a Sandstorm Metals annual and special meeting held on May 27, 2014. A final order approving the acquisition was granted by the Supreme Court of British Columbia on May 28, 2014.

With the acquisition of Sandstorm Metals, the company has a portfolio of nine streams and 28 royalties, of which 13 of the underlying mines are producing gold.
