Listed below are some of the stocks we’re keeping an eye on today.
Sears Canada Inc. SCC.T -2.62%said fourth-quarter earnings remained flat at 39 Canadian cents a share, helped by gains, while revenue fell to C$1.30 billion from C$1.37 billion. Same-store sales were down 5%.
Sherritt International Corp. S.T +2.33%hiked its quarterly dividend 13% and posted a fourth-quarter loss of 6 Canadian cents a share, compared with a profit of 10 Canadian cents a year earlier. It had an adjusted profit of 3 Canadian cents a share.
TransAlta Corp. TA.T -0.49%said fourth-quarter earnings rose to 15 Canadian cents a share from 11 Canadian cents, while adjusted earnings rose to 21 Canadian cents a share from 13 Canadian cents a year earlier.
Premier Gold Mines Ltd. PG.T +1.93%said Goldcorp Inc. G.T +2.38%plans to exercise its right to acquire a 51% stake in the Broulan Reef project in Red Lake.
Trican Well Service Ltd. TCW.T -5.21%swung to a fourth-quarter loss of 5 Canadian cents a share from a profit of 78 Canadian cents on lower revenue. It had an adjusted loss of 4 Canadian cents.
