You are most likely right LongSFMI....but being a survivor of the previous bull market in JPMs (circa 1993 to 96 ish)... I will never forget the speculative frenzy that can develop almost overnight. It is a rush the likes of which you will never forget. If one is positioned one has a huge lead on the rabid pack that is out there.
Something similar has commenced but on a smaller scale so far (inning 3 of 9) can be seen in the rare earth metals/elements markets. Some embryonic explorers, years and $ millions away from production, have gone from pennies to $4 in no time. James Dines started the race a few months ago and that's all it took. From what I hear, it is also just a passing fad, nothing like the real thing we are on the edge of witnessing in the JPMs. (of course there is no powerful force with an incentive to suppress this new REE mania either, so it will thrive).
I know of one stock trading on low volume at 50 cents that was only pennies weeks ago. People aren't even supposed to know what is coming but I guess some have figured it out re the pending land deal. It will soon have a name change and announce that it is now an REE explorer with the purchase in on an REE property in Ontario. It has big backers and big money to promote it. I suspect it will be trading at $3 to $4 in a month or two. Do I own it? No. Is it real...not very when you look a year down the road. I like the JPMs better and especially ones like this one with so much upside. Hey...even I figured out 2 cents to 8 cent is a 4 banger and 2 cents to 40 cents is a 20 banger. 50 cents to $4 is a 4 banger. ...and then you had better be prepared for the bubble to burst at no warning.
What is happening on the world stage will happen here. Someone will flinch and start buying before the pack, forcing out the shorts. The $US is being managed down with the blessing of the Chinese, Japanese Saudiis and others. Problem is, every time the dollar pops up a bit now...some trapped dollar shorts mess things up and sell it...then the Fed has to buy, buy, buy more treasuries and US debt to endlessly prop it up. When gold goes down now, usually daily into the New York close, buyers show up since they know the US is selling short...and the Chinese have a $1000 floor under the market.
Hence today we have a $30 million historic gold short mostly by JP Morgan with the Fed right behind them. They also know that Goldman Sachs has a $47 trillion hidden derivatives play going on...which most suspect is gold related. The game is getting on and the Casino is nervous. The players are formidable and the angst is palpable. The stakes are global. Gold is at the heart of it all.
Sooo....people who know all this will know that it won't take much to spark a speculative frenzy in the tiny JPM markets where a little will go a very long way. Watch for the big money to show up and blow some new exploration plays out of the water and upwards out of the blue. These will be good properties but still years and mllions away from production...with maybe anywhere from 1 million to 6 million ounces gold estimated resource before any feaseability studies. These newbies will stimulate the sector as it is a vote of confidence and evidence of heavy hitters doing an honest deal in a bull market. The big money will have big investors all lined up at $X before the investors even know what's happening. You will see new entrants going from 30 cents to $2 in a flash. Why? Because they are big players who aren't fuking about and will be out of the stock at $2, whether it goes to $10 or not. But, they will ensure that the investors get what they want... they wiil make sure that the investment becomes a genuine gold producer as they will take it to production...they have the bucks to do it and it will cost bigtime..no matter.
Now, back to little old SFMI. Does it not make sense, given the property and resource, that a similar group anxious to make a buck, or even a hungry producer, will not grab an SFMI once it is aware of the resource? Compare it to the above situation. It looks gift wrapped to me since those interested won't have to go to Africa, South America, Timbuktoo or such places to secure a golden opportunity, the likes of which are rare indeed today. Who will finch and make an offer?
I wonder how long it will take and I wonder what Pierre and sharehlders would settle for?
Just wondering.
