Ed and I Are Back From Melba 20-Nov-09 11:37 am
Ed and I are back from Melba. We want to think Bill for breakfast and the other locals for being so hospitable. Our last visit to the Diamond Creek site, we were lucky enough to put our inititals in the cement foundation. We consecrated the site, planting Saint Anne Medals on the four corners of the property. Saint Anne is the patron saint of miners. We also consecrated the underground workings as well during our tour of War Eagle Mountain. The Mill is gonna go in pretty quick now, maybe two more weeks. The locals were great, we hope to see you guys again soon.

GOING FORWARD AND BEING POSITIVE, THIS IS NOW THE PLAN AS WE UNDERSTAND IT:

By the end of December 2009:

The small mill is up and operational. This has been characterized in a company press release as a "test mill." Its bigger than that. The company has plans to expand their milling capacity next year. There is not a power line running into the site at present, but the company has applied for one from the local utility. In the meantime they are planning on using generators to power the site. With diesel fuel being cheaper now, this kind of operation is more economic. The new site is closer to the tailings pile than the previous location was in the potato shed in Melba. That will be a cost savings to the operation. SFMI has spent 2 1/2 million dollars on the mill equipment. Its paid for.

By February 28, 2010:

By the end of February the company gets the money for its first pour. No money will be paid to Goldcorp Holdings for the lease or as a royalty payment. There will be no accrual either. No debt is building up between the two entities because of the Lease Agreement. From the first 15% of the gross proceeds from the mill, SFMI plans to buy back shares of the company.

-------

How much is in the tailings pile?

It is estimated there are $160,000,000 recoverable gold in the tailings pile. The old timers used dynamite to blast the rock and threw away small pieces into the pile. It is estimated there is at least six grams of gold per ton in the pile. The pile was created before 1905. That is the about the time Asarco shut down the mining operations on War Eagle Mountain.

-------

UNDERGROUND ACTIVITIES IN 2010:

Out of the cash flow from the mill, the company plans to do some definition drilling of the underground workings. They have historical reports and have done some chip sampling. The company is putting the historical data and any new drilling information into a computerized mine model. The company will put together a mine plan for the underground. There is ore in the underground workings and its fairly close to the surface. The company will have more information next year as the model begins to come together.

-------

Financing: There are no plans to go outside the company for financing.
