RE: Mill production and startup.
First post on this hub, took up my initial position last week on advice from my dad and added more today at .13 to average down.
We just went through a lot of this similar sounding headache with another stock we were long on, GORO. Mill is "up and running" and "getting streamlined" and yada, yada, yada for months and months on end. Then news came that some low grade dore had finally been shipped but grades cutoffs and recoveries were still being fine tuned. Finally, the announcement came on July 1st that they had reached commercial production. Along the way, some of the knowledgeable posters on the yahoo hub had pointed out that income from the sale of initial dore (prior to announcement of "commercial production") didn't have to be reported as "income" but rather just used against cash expenses, apparently some loophole in mining accounting. So waiting until the first day of the new quarter meant that Q3 will be the first quarter with income, probably an easy way for accounting to square the books and also make the balance sheet look better to investors.
I'm not suggesting that SFMI will be waiting until Oct. 1 to announce commercial production because I really don't know that much about where they are at in the milling process, but it's just something to think about.
Patience is a virtue, and it seems like when it comes to things like this we can't wait long enough.
