Lindy- It's hard to fault your analysis. Unfortunately, you have to make a number of assumptions (including assuming RK was speaking honestly when he said 6 g/t). The problem is that the PR was another poorly written, weasel worded, unproofread mess that didn't simply come out and state the numbers we needed, and included an inexcusable error in an extremely significant number. You shouldn't have to be trying to figure out whether it's ounces per ton or ounces per 2.61 tons. Hell, you wouldn't have to be doing any math at all if the PR was competently and honestly written. Why not just come out and say "This is our production rate, these are the grades of ore we have been processing, and these are the totals of (concentrate, gold, silver) we have produced". I guess we'll have to wait yet a while longer to get credible numbers.
BTW, I'm not totally pessimistic. While those numbers (whatever they are) were disappointing to say the least based on what we had been told earlier, I think they will improve on those numbers. I don't really believe the "hot zone" spin that has been going around- the pile looked pretty homogeneous, and any "zones" in the original ore disappeared when the ore was tossed randomly down the mountain. But I do think they will do better. The production rate should increase- I think it was lowered due to down time while they made some changes. Brings back memories of the PR just before the SHM that said 140 tpd, only to be told during the SHM that it was actually 40-70 tpd. Some down time may continue during any other improvement/expansion, but I think RS is focussed on increasing capacity. Bobby Joe's and mem's pictures clearly show an expansion in progress (which I think is more than just a smelter), and RK's responses to inquiries mention a mill expansion (though I wouldn't base anything solely on what he says now). I think RS will also be focussed on getting some results from drilling, and getting back into the mountain as soon as possible.
