Thanks for the uplifting message Mr. Sinbob. Always nice to hear from you. I've been thinking lately about my investment here is SFMI and the sector as a whole. I'm fairly new to the junior explorers (about 8 years) but I've had some reasonable success. I've had some big losers, some modest winners and a couple of grand slams. As a result, this sector has my undivided attention.
Early in this new century I began to explore some of the gold and silver websites that posted daily articles dealing with their favorite metals and the economic conditions surrounding their theories. I paid particular attention to Theodore Butler and his affinity for all things silver. I took his advice and bought physical metal, my first purchase costing me $4.80 per ounce. I've continued to buy and bought a 100 oz bar as recently as last week.
Jim Puplava was an early influence and I listened to his Saturday show religiously. That's where I heard an interview with Dr. Kieth Barron of Aurelian Resources. He sounded like he knew what he was talking about so I bought his stock at 68 cents and watched in amazement as it climbed to $44 in less than nine months. Having little experience in the sector, I didn't realize all the gains possible, but what a ride. Astonishment, jubilation, giddiness, puzzlement and panic were some of the emotions I experienced before selling my last shares, but hooked I was. Don't get me wrong, I took some beatings along the way as well, but all in all it's been great. I think gold and silver, and the shares of the guys that find it and dig it out of the ground is the place for me and my money.
My point in this message is that when these shares get going, they go off like a lit match. But these shares offer something else to the curious investor. They offer time. Time to build a position in the company at cheap prices. Sometimes, as in the case of SFMI, ridiculous prices.
Sinbob and many others have said it over and over. This little company looks to have the goods in the ground. They are certainly taking the road less travelled, but this, I think, will work to their advantage as time unfolds. In the meantime, 7 cents seems like a silly bargain to me. So I'm building my position. I think it's a reasonalble place for my money. The pace of progress can at times be excruciating, but when these guys start to get liftoff, the pace of catch-up can take your breath away. If you buy right, you can build a position where a penny's worth of upward movement can mean big dollars to your account.
I wish everyone on this board the best of luck and hope to meet many of you later this year at the SHM.
Regards,
ag
