The answer is simple. Only put your money into companies that will rocket up immediately after you invest.

Seriously, the only thing that makes you look stupid is thinking that all investments behave similarly, or that if a stock doesn't go up immediately after you buy it it's no good, or that having money in an investment that's not going up right this moment makes you look stupid.
