Chavez is a commie..he is nationalizing everything down there. Maybe the concern RS had with Scorpio Mining, it's in Mexico. How stable is Mexico? I know their unemployment rate is under 5%. Another mining company I looked at was SLTA...I didn't jump on it because it is Argentina and the Prime Minister is a Marxist.

My fear comes from Obama and his Statist agenda. He is using the Dept of Interior and the EPA in confiscating land or hindering exploration of oil, gas, minerals etc.....

Today, I heard on Mark Levin's show, Canada wants to extract it's oil from the sands in Alberta and pipe the oil to a refiner in Texas. The Eco Nazis are trying to stop it. We're looking at 700,000 barrels of oil a day which would help us get off our foreign dependence of oil.

My opinion safe bets on mining companies are in Canada and so far in the United States. I do know Idaho is a business friendly state. I couldn't imagine SFMI in California...
