Ed- Excellent info. I can always count on you for knowledgeable posts. Does the Piper and Laney report show the connections between the shafts/adits? It would be interesting to know if a second entrance to the Sinker is shown on their maps. From previous posts here, sounds like there was one that collapsed that SFMI has resurrected.

BTW, a scanned copy of the Piper and Laney report is available on line at the Idaho Geological Survey site. link The WEM report is the second in the list. The map you refer to isn't scanned very legibly, so it's hard to tell what's what. Ed, do you have a better copy of the map on p. 137? I'm sure the IGS has a copy of the original book if anyone could go by there, maybe before or after the meeting and make a better copy (but call and check before you go to make sure it's available). But the report itself is excellent, and there is a good map at the very end showing the mines in the area (the Sinker is on the far right side of page 93 of the pdf file).

I'll add the Piper and Laney link to the DD section.
