Garick,
I won't delete it only because it illustrates exactly what I object to, a politicized one sided rant that really has very little to do with SFMI. Selecting out Carter and Obama and ignoring the near quadrupling of gold and the completely unprecedented budget deficits and $700B bankster bailout under Bush, Paulson, et al. as well as ignoring the fact that the current fiscal crisis was years in the making and in full swing before Obama took office is not what I want to read on this site. And BTW, I'm no fan of Obama- just pointing out the one-sidedness of your post. It's no more informative and contributes no more to a real understanding about SFMI and its prospects than the WTC crap that was posted.
Don't take this personally- I find most of your posts relevant and informative. But I have seen too many sites ruined by becoming politicized. Frankly, there are too many people who can't discuss such topics civilly with those who disagree, and the discussions quickly degenerate and create ill will among people who had no problems before. There are plenty of other sites specifically intended for political discourse where political discussion is welcome and encouraged. But not here. We are united as investors with a common interest in SFMI. Let's keep it that way.
And in case anyone is wondering, the above is not an invitation for rebuttal or further discussion of politics here. Subsequent posts that I consider inflammatory will be deleted.
Regards,
spiny
