About a year ago SFMI said they had 10 tons of concentrate, but they have never told us what the composition is. So your guess is as good as mine on how much gold and silver it represents. At 6 g/t and 40 t/d, that's 8 oz Au/d, but only 1.6 oz (20%) recovered. For 2 years, that's something over 2000 oz AU, or $3.2M. It cost more to run the mill during that time.

If they recovered about 20% of the gold and silver, that leaves 2 years worth of ore that needs to be reprocessed unless they start mining better ore before then. It will be easier to reprocess, since it is already ground, but it will still take a long time if they end up doing it. Not sure they will ever bother, since the unprocessed waste ore is at least slightly higher grade, and at some point they will be mining even higher grade stuff. What a fiasco. Thanks, CQ.
