Pic- I'm not a TA guy, but take a look at the daily short volume link (just search on SFMI). Looks like the volume dropped off quickly this week and the MMs were caught flatfooted and had to up the short percentage to 70% from 30%. Sort of indicates to me that the selling dried up.
(Note: Most of you know that the daily short volume is not true shorts, but just an artifact of how the MMS work. When they get an order to sell, they often find a buyer first, sell non-existent shares (short), and then immediately cover by buying the shares put up for sale. Same with a buy- they sell the shares short, and then immediately cover by buying shares for sale. That way, the MMs don't get stuck buying and holding a bunch of shares. Technically, it's short selling, but effectively it's just a routine sale. It happens about half the time normally if the MMS can judge the market, but occasionally when the market is changing the MMs will end up shorting more than usual.)
