As it was recently explained to me...
Let's assume WEM has the minimum of 5 mil ounces of gold (equivalent). Drilling to prove that many ounces would take 5 years (although possibly less time since we have high grade veins). Well, sfmi would never have a chance to prove up more than 1 mil ounces, as we'd be bought out. So we in fact will never know how many ounces of gold WEM contains, unless you stick around and follow the drilling as it is done by the next owner (Barrick or whichever major buys us out).
So forget about how many millions of ounces we control. We'll be bought out well before the full potential is realized.
All eyes should be on financing and drilling at this point. I'm glad to hear that PQ seems confident that we're in good shape in that department. He sent me an email saying more or less the same thing... ie financing won't be an issue. Hopefully MSHA won't hinder the sinker tunnel too much.
