The more I think about this investment it reminds me of a hand in Texas Hold 'Em I had over the weekend. I had Ace and five of hearts (looks real pretty at first glance). There was a standard raise pre-flop which I called. On the flop comes two and four of hearts (and also a King) ..so I had a nut flush draw and also straight flush draw (looking real pretty now). Another player bet the flop and I called (so now I am a little more committed). On the turn ..another King ..a dud for me, but now there is an added bonus where if the other player happened to have 2 Kings in his hand AND I caught the straight flush he would have a "bad beat" (straight flush vs. 4 Kings) ..that would have paid over $25k. He bet again and I called again (how could i fold with that much potential, so now I am even more committed). Well folks the goods weren't there on the river and I was forced to fold after losing a decent chunk of my stack. But, it looked so pretty in the beginning and I was convinced I was going to catch the nuts.

Come on dealer, show us the river!
