"Answer me these 2 please Rick. Why the hell would anyone be there that much just to bash the stock?"
Logic and human nature dictate that anyone willing to bash a stock for an extended period of time is either a disgruntled ex-employee, an ex-shareholder that can't get over the loss or the notion of being wrong, or someone who is otherwise financially motivated. Personally, I don't have enough disposable time on my hands to bash stocks which is why I will never understand that mindset. I prefer to research them and like most shareholders, if I like the stock, I post mostly about its merits because presumably it is in my best interests to do so as an investor with skin in the game.
"And how can someone with that mindset moderate neutrally?"
That's a valid point. And if you look at the other side of the coin, how can 6 moderators who are all bullish moderate neutrally as well? One could argue that having bulls and bears moderate the same message board ensures a certain degree of neutrality due to the counterbalance. That is I-Hub's stance FWIW.
Obviously if you are bullish on the stock, you prefer to have "friendlies" moderating the board. However, if I-Hub's Admins determine that a moderator is not abiding by I-Hub's TOU, they will boot that moderator regardless if they are pro or con on the stock. I've witnessed them boot moderators both pro and con the stock. On the CDCH board we had a basher named "kezzek" join the board as a moderator and immediately started deleting bullish posts that did not violate TOU and then proceeded to unmark yellow stickied posts and replacing it with his own, etc. When I tried to reason with him about moderating as a team in spite of our different outlooks on the stock, there was no compromise to be had. He was there just to antagonize the bullish moderators. Admin booted him as moderator almost immediately. There is no reason to believe they wouldn't do the same on the SFMI board should a moderator go rogue.
"Basher/frustrated shareholder....frustrated shareholder/complainer...note the difference between them can be a thin line, so I use my nose. Shills, and bashers in sheep's clothing, have a distinct M.O. smell that permeates the senses"
I'm not quite sure what you're getting at here, but if that implication is at all directed at me (which I believe it is), I will prove your senses completely impaired by signing off of this board for good now. I've stated my opinions once or maybe twice now and have no interest in upsetting any shareholders further which I've come to know and respect over the years here. While I still hold a modest amount of shares, as I stated above, I don't have the time nor desire to criticize a stock I've lost interest in when my efforts are focused on researching stocks that I have significant skin in the game with.
Good luck to you all...I hope you all make gobs of money for your patience and faith in this operation.
Rick
