There is definitely merit to leaving the bashers to play in their own sandbox. That happened to Yahoo and RagingBull and those sites are completely innocuous now. There are a few rare Yahoo message boards that have good info, and for the life of me don't know how that evolves (or remains in tact).
I believe I-Hub will eventually succomb to the same fate as shareholders seek out venues that are not as censored or biased. The MDMN board has set up its own personal shareholder blog and it drives the bashers on I-Hub crazy as they have no way to infiltrate and resort to copying posts from the blog and commenting on them in I-Hub.
Sometimes the private forum gets criticized for being "all koolaid", but that isn't completely the case. I think most shareholders can discern for themselves what is hype driven content and what is blatant bashing. I just like that bashers who feed on having the written tet-a-tet with shareholders are locked out of the discussion.
I like that SFMI shareholders similarly "defected" to their own blog and hope more bloggers do that to escape the crap that goes on in the public investment blogs.
