Prior to the rule change in 2006 on the use of cyanide in processing gold. Kellogg Mining in Idaho has a permit, however, it has never used it for cyanide leaching. Kellogg only uses a flotation system to retrieve gold.
SFMI submitted an outline to the DQ in Idaho for a closed loop cyanide leaching system. SFMI is still waiting to hear back from the DQ. SFMI will be processing concentrate through the flotation system and extracting gold/silver for smelting once it is on line and fully operational.

It's hard to be patient...government is the road block. Mining is quite different than a 100 yrs ago.
