Rumors may affect the share price in the short term, but any effect is short lived. Even official rumors, such as "03/14/13 -- Silver Falcon Mining, Inc. (OTCBB: SFMI) started once again to deliver precious metal dore bars to the refinery", have no lasting effect if they are not followed through. Especially if they are identical to rumors that have not panned out before (How many times have we heard that regular shipments to the refinery have started?).
Rumors, whispers, and little birdie told mes are not going to move this stock any more. There has to be official confirmation of substantial news- drilling, core sample results, reports of regular shipments and significant revenue, results from new ore being mined (even the 1000 tons allowed under exploration permits is significant if it is within the 3.75 oz/t and up range). Nothing else will do. We've already heard rumors of everything that could possibly happen, and those effects have worn off. It just won't work again.
